Android - keep currently playing song when removing all

If possible if a song is actively being played when we use the remove all button, can it remain in the queue instead of causing an abort end to the music.
If the song is stopped or paused it should be removed like usual.
I frequently want to remove all songs except for the current one i'm listening to so I can build a new playlist and i think this would be a useful feature.
