Feature Req or more so a Please Don't Add this request.

Been using Subsonic for quite some time now and absolutely LOVE it.

My 'request' is please do not add Facebook / Twitter integration. I know there's the whole thing of if you don't like it, don't use it. I would prefer to not even see the taint that is the words Facebook / Twitter on such a beautiful program that is Subsonic.

I personally thing the features that are in Subsonic now are absolutely stunningly well thought of and implemented.

My other recent add that I dislike is the email address required to create logins. I know, I know.. it isn't hard to just use lalala@youknowit.com for an address... but still!

Please stop tainting my astonishing program! :D

Feel free to flame away as to why I'm wrong and Facebook / Twitter should be added. I'll listen. :)

I fully appreciate what you're saying and I think the implementation supports what you want.

There is a separate authorization role for sharing, and by default only users with admin rights are allowed to share (and actually see the Facebook/Twitter share buttons).

So basically, you can turn the whole thing off (and it is indeed turned off by default for non-admin users).

Cheers,

But, but, but...I don't want to demote myself from Administrator, lol. :)

Mainly, I have started to dislike seeing Facebook / Twitter on every screen, webpage or device out right now.

Can there be a button to just eliminate it all together or like a stand alone check box during the setup?

Obviously I just use Subsonic and do not have the knowledge to dev anything for it. Just sharing an opinion.

Thank you for explaining it a little more.
