Adding several folders as one source

I would like to add two drives of music (c:\music and d:\music) to subsonic. I know I could solve this with a virtual drive, but would like not to do so. Any chance to get this implemented in subsonic natively?

Thanks in advance!!!

I just tried this with O:\Movies_O;P:\Movies_P but it did not work.

I think it would simplify my setup very nicely.

Anyone tried D:\Music & E:\Music or instead of & use &&?

I tried but it did not work. But I think I have another error because when I log in, I get an error message that is not very helpful. It only say the IP address and !

Maybe someone else should try or maybe it does not work all together. If it does not, I think it would be a great feature to add :)

So you can't reach Subsonic at all anymore?

I can reach it and everything works but I get that warning.

Strange...can you make a screenshot?

Yes I can make a screen shot but I do not have any where to upload it

But can tell you that the title bar shows:
The page at https://MyIPaddress says:

And bellow:
! error

And bellow:
Ok Button

That is it. Then I press Ok and it continues like nothing happens. I did not have that error before I started adding && and + and ; in my music folder.

that got me into thinking to delete all my folder and restarted Subsonic and the problem cleared...

back to the first problem; I do not know how to add 2 folder under the same Name...

You should be able to add folders from different local drives, but probably NOT with the same folder name.

Try C drive music | c:\Music

and

D drive Music | D:\Music

I have used folders from different drives many times without problems, but each foder had a unique name.

I was trying to gather all my movies under the same name.

So I would do Movies | Movies_T & Movies_U

Then if I choose from my drop down list of Movies, I would get all of my movies from Movies_T & Movies_U

I guess there is no way.

Thanks for offering help. While this works, this is actually not what we were trying to solve. We would like to have one subsonic item called "Music", which pulls files from 2 locations (e.g., c:\music1 and d:\music2). We have tried all kind of things like ";", "&" or "&&" between the folder sources, but nothign worked.

Any other thoughts or anyone from the devs around who could implement this for the next release?

Maybe I am confused but I have music in 2 different drives because my wife has hers and i have mine, but I have subsonic search both.

they are both labeled exactly the same Music

one is a C:\ and the other is F:\...subsonic lists them all as if they were in one drive.

As a side note, we label our artist folders identical, that way if she has an artist that I also have, it will only list it once in subsonic, but will show the albums from both inside it :)

I assume, because I also have two folders named music, pointing to different physical drives, that when you pull down your folders menu, it says
All folders
Music
Music

They would like their menu to look like this
All folders
Music

Exactly!!! Any idea whether this is feasible or can be integrated in a future release?
