Android: Move Shuffle button, Gingerbread fix ?

Number 1, PLEASE move the shuffle button ! You would not believe how many times I try to hit the skip-back button, only to shuffle my carefully arranged playlist instead. My preference would be to put repeat where shuffle is, and make shuffle only accessible from the menu (where it is now).
Number 2, with an auto-update of my G2 to Gingerbread supposedly coming from T-Mobile, I was wondering if Sindre has been able to figure out the work-around for audio apps turning off navigation volume ?
