Windows Phone 7 - Background Audio Support for Mango

Hey there,

I believe Windows Phone just came out with an update (Mango) that allows for apps to play audio in the background, rather than being automatically suspended every time the user switches to use another app (e.g. check a text message/email, etc.)

Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, are there are any plans to update the Windows Phone 7 Subsonic app to leverage this capability?

Thanks.

The Windows Phone 7 app is in dire need of some updates. You're correct in that Mango allows background apps, including background audio, but the app has to be updated to support it. Considering this app is rarely updated, it won't be happening any time soon. It's so lacking compared to the other FREE mobile versions of Subsonic, and yet it's lacking Last.fm and the ability to play songs without having to go to your playlist every time. And yes, background audio support is a must. The developer doesn't respond to emails, either. I'm considering switching to an Android phone just for the Android app.
