Better Chat

Dear Sindre,

first I'd like to thank you for your amazing work! My friends and I are using Subsonic as our prefered social network hub and we like it a lot for all its great functions. However, as has also been stated a lot of times here in this forum, we find the chat functionality a bit lacking sometimes. Do you think it would be possible in one of the future versions of Subsonic to beef it up a bit? It is a pity for example, that there are only a couple of messages saved in the queue. We would also like to paste links there. What about a message system like in Facebook? We think that a better chat system would improve the overall social capabilities of Subsonic a lot!

this is a must. it needs to be bigger. The chat just now is more like a shout box. Multiple rooms would be good too. So we could make one room for chat & one room for music requests. so when the admin came back online they could see what the users are after. Maybe you could give it it's own page. with the ability for it to pop out to a new page. or new tab so the users can still browse the site while keeping the chat open.

I would also like a better chat! My biggest gripe is the 10 entry limitation, which makes it hard to have coherent conversations with more than 2 people, and impossible if multiple conversations happen at once.

you can try/test my Mashup Mod, i tweaked the Chat system a little bit.
