Android Client: Better support for dark themes
Posted: Tue Jan 03, 2012 9:37 amFirst, thank you for this absolutely brilliant application. The attention to detail and development quality shines through every time I use Subsonic. It's definitely the most used application on my phone!
Now, on to my problem/suggestion:
Subsonic doesn't play well with "dark" themes in Android. When I say themes, I mean the entire system theme, not the Subsonic themes. A lot of custom ROMs (CM7, MIUI) support full system theming, and Subsonic seems to have some sort of static value that prevents the system theme's colors from being applied. Specifically, in the notification pulldown; you'll notice that the track title is black text on a black background, when it should be white:

Most other applications seem to adjust to the system themes fine (i.e. light themes have dark text, dark themes have light text). Hope that makes sense! And if anyone is wondering, I'm running the latest MIUI build with the "Black Android Theme".
