Subsonic Video - Audio Track selector (MKV)

Hello, love subsonic however some of my files have multiple languages stored inside the mkv file (German, spanish, English) & so on, so different audio tracks.

If you could add a small dropdown, next to the bitrate choice and so on that allows you to pick the audio track this would be great, as on some of my files the default language isn't my main language (I'd imagine this is a huge issue for non english speakers too as english is generally the first track)

Because of this problem, it makes some video files unwatchable as they are in the wrong language, with no way to change it on subsonic.

Love subsonic and use it far too much! However this i feel is the last 'big' problem i face, apart from small tweaks that would make the user experience better, this one genuinely subtracts from the useability so it would be awesome if it could be implemented.

Or possibly a mod made that does this? It should be relatively straight forward to do i believe.

Hopefully somebody can fix this! Many thanks :D

Since the last post in this thread was in May i hereby push this thread since i'd love to see this feature, not only for MKV but for all files which have multiple audio tracks.

Me to, would love to see this happen, seams like a must have, and possibly subtitle selection also
i believe that all it take is a change in the encode string, but it would be way more practical to have it in option when playing, like the change of bit-rate

Being able to switch between audio channels and subtitles is a must have feature. Hope developers have this feature in mind for the next release of Subsonic. I would be willing to pay (donate) extra bucks for this premium feature.

+1

Personally, I use QLoud for streaming video to my portable devices. Supports ICS and WP7 and supports selecting different audio streams.

Thanks for the info, I'll try the app, but we would love to have this feature native on Subsonic. Wouldn't you?

Cheers

Since are you still here or have you disappeared in a snowdrift? =)
(Could be possible considering how much snow we have now in Sweden and Norway tend to be much worse;-)

please give us the choice
to select different audio tracks and different subtitles.
and while you're at it give us some html5 video to;-)
(hehehe small demands we make ? =))

Just for fun, what would be required for those things would become a reality in the very near future? (Donate more but how much more, etc.?)

You'll forgive me if you think I'm a bit bold of me (I am Swedish, it is in the blood;-)
