Re: Subsonic 4.7.beta3 released

I have tried 4.7 beta 2 and 3. Both exhibit the same issue:

Movies and Music in locations seen by 4.6 are not seen by either of the two betas. That is a disappointment in many ways. That said, I would love to be able to use the new features. Any suggestions as to why it works in 4.6 but 4.7beta3 doesn't show any of my music or movies from several of my share locations?

A down grade to 4.6 fixed my issue of seeing my music.

That wasn't a response to you BeatBoy, but a quick response to baaldemon (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9998&start=165#p45491)

On your problem: for the time being, use the excellent Subsonic tag editor to add track numbers, or use the even more comprehensive MP3Tag software: http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

Interesting so this kinda worked. The third time was the charm.

So I removed the working dir and the .lck file after I stopped tomcat, started it back up, still saw the error. Rinse repeat same thing, but on the third try no more error. Not sure what happened differently that time but it seemed to do the trick.

Restart with same error as before

Pretty simple install. I do it whenever a new version comes out that I want to test.

Thank you PieterB for your reply.
I'm aware of tag editors. I have a rather large mp3 collection and this task would be time consuming.
With previous release album tracks were sorted in a correct order regardless of having track number on the tag or not.

Only if the track # was in the filename - in which case auto-tag from file name will quickly add the the track #'s to your ID tags.

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.
