Running Subsonic with Squeezeplug on RPi?

Postby jjimpro » Fri Oct 02, 2015 1:29 pm

I have been running Subsonic server on a linux machine through the Vortexbox configuration, but my machine needs to be replaced. I use vortexbox for its stability of LMS for my home configuration and it came with subsonic package for streaming away from home. I am thinking to run instead a RPi with squeezeplug (http://www.squeezeplug.eu/) so I can continue to have the solid LMS platform, but want to also have subsonic for access while away. Has anyone any experience with that setup? Or aware of any issues trying to install both Squeezeplug and Subsonic? I am not strong in linux but able to follow strings of command line text.

thanks

Check out www.dietpi.net there are install options for Subsonic and Squeezeplug. I've not tried using them together, but if it doesn't work the diet pi developer is very responsive.
