The server at 108.0.151.78 is taking too long to respond. This is not my IP. I am not sure why its trying to go to this IP.

Not going to be able to do port forwarding since there isn't any i.t. guy here in the building, and no one even knows what router it is. Is there a way around this? If not I guess subsonic isn't for me unfortunately. I'm actually fairly tech savy (maybe not so much with networking) but still I've done port forwarding elsewhere, and I'm pretty stumped here. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has signed up for subsonic and since they can't figure this out they stop. Is there any way to simply do this? Thanks!

Your public IP address may have changed at the ISP level. Go to http://www.whatismyip.com and verify that the IP address it says you have is the one that matches up with your server.subsonic.org address. If they are different, try browsing to the IP address reported by whatismyip.com with a :4040 at the end (ie. 108.0.151.78:4040) and see if you can connect to your server that way. If you can, then port forwarding is working. The issue is now related to the subsonic.org DNS entry. You should be able to send an email or PM to Sindre and he should be able to fix that for you, or you can also go to a free DNS site like no-ip.com and set up a domain there (this is what I did).

It's only when DHCP changes your INTERNAL network address for the host machine that you have to edit the port forwarding to reflect the change.
