Hi all,

I thought it was time someone used this announcement board for something :wink:

, so here goes:

There is a new version of play:Sub headed to the iOS App Store right now...
Here's the the full list of news:

SLEEPTIMER, BUGFIXES

● New: In-app sleep timer available from the player screen,
● New: URL Scheme support for controlling sleep timer:
playsubapp://set?sleeptimer=15
playsubapp://set?sleeptimer=endoftrack
playsubapp://set?sleeptimer=off
● New: App now requires iOS 14+
● New: Updated Navidrome support to enable lyrics and server scan status.
● Fixed: Safari reader mode now follows dark/light theme of app.
● Fixed: Settings screens now follows dark/light theme of app.
● Fixed: NavigationBar message was truncated on some devices.
● Fixed: Crash on iPads when clearing audio or image cache.
● Fixed: On iOS 15, on iPad, the player screen could not be dismissed using the chevron-button (new multitasking took precedence)
● Fixed: Searchfield was hidden when using search as a tab on certain phone models.
● Various other bugfixes and improvements

Did you make changes to the way shortcut URL's work? As of this version, my old shortcuts to playlists and radio stations still launch the player, but they no longer select or play the item.

I'm on iOS 15.5, iPhone Xs

Yeah, I managed to break the shortcut URLs completely with this version

There is a fixed version with Apple, so within a day or two there should be a new version available.

Hi Michael; it looks like Chromecast support isn't working for the last couple of releases. I can see devices listed, but they are greyed out and won't select. I was using that feature daily prior to the upgrade.

I've also verified that I can stream normally to any of those same devices from other audio apps.

I'll get around to updating the Chromecast SDK soon - hopefully it's a minor thing.
