Very cool. Thank you!
One issue... I can't seem to download the standalone version. Sourceforge returns a not found error.
Also subsonic.org/download.jsp "is not available"
Thanks again,
Dan

Thanks for pointing that out. The correct link is:
http://subsonic.org/pages/download.jsp (updated original post).
I just successfully downloaded the standalone version from SourceForge. Anyone else having problems with it?

It just popped in... the mirrors must have been a bit behind on that one.
Thanks again... loading it up now

Just upgraded from 3.9b1 to 3.9. Looking good! (Virtualbox + Archlinux + Subsonic standalone)
Anyone else notice that jetty/java eating a lot more RAM lately?
Here's my usage just from starting it:
Version 3.9 (build 1335) – February 9, 2010
Server jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_0, Linux (103.6 MB / 164.9 MB)

Thanks for the update and the port forwarding bug fix.
I can't seem to find the SubAir link under 'more', but maybe I'm doing something wrong. No biggie, but perhaps someone else can tell me if they see it.
Keep up the great work Sindre.

Old problem...

Hi Sindre,
did you notice this thread?
http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2246
It seems that special characters such as the g-breve (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ğ) cause problems. The files do not get played properly as apparently somewhere in the pipeline these characters are not recognized:
- Code: Select all
[2/12/10 6:06:06 AM PST] DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (c:\subsonic\transcode\flac)
[2/12/10 6:06:06 AM PST] DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (c:\subsonic\transcode\flac) Selda Ba?can_-_Selda_-_01_-_Meydan Sizindir.flac: ERROR initializing decoder
[2/12/10 6:06:06 AM PST] DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (c:\subsonic\transcode\flac) state = FLAC__FILE_DECODER_ERROR_OPENING_FILE
[2/12/10 6:06:06 AM PST] DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (c:\subsonic\transcode\flac)
[2/12/10 6:06:06 AM PST] DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (c:\subsonic\transcode\flac) An error occurred opening the input file; it is likely that it does not exist
[2/12/10 6:06:06 AM PST] DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (c:\subsonic\transcode\flac) or is not readable.
[2/12/10 6:06:07 AM PST] DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (c:\subsonic\transcode\lame) Warning: unsupported audio format
Do you know if this could be fixed?
Thank you,
ff

Great work as usual, Sindre!
However, I did notice that the indexing takes MUCH longer than it ever used to. I don't have the folder art option to download automatically enabled or anything. What changed that is causing it to run so much slower?

It should only be slower the first time. I changed the index format, so the first time it performs a full reindexing rather than an incremental.
Let us know if it's consistently slower.

Ah! Ok. That explains it. Yes, that was my first time indexing since upgrading.
thanks!

Is anyone having trouble with m4a files that do play in the flash player, but do not have any sort of seekable time? It's just showing up as a 0:00 song length with the slider at a random location, and clicking on the slider will just replay the song.
stops playing after each number

I have upgraded, and i like it, but after the upgrade i have had problems when i play a playlist, it stops after every number, and i have to click on next number to listen to the next one.
The current playing number stops with 1 second left, and stays there.
This problem is only when im out of my own network, in my own network there is no problem
