I have noticed in 4.0.1 that the chat no longer has the 2 day timeout option, its back to having 20 or so viewable posts.
Could this be a selectable option??

Also the HTTPS now playing and login issues still exist. Any planned fix?

It seems the "Transmitted" data amounts get reset for each song? This is on the Status page.

As Always, keep up the good work

Seems like there is a problem with the chat feature not working when deploying Subsonic on Tomcat. It works in the other install options (which use Jetty).

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I will try to come up with a fix for it in the next release.

Thanks,
Sindre

I am running subsonic on window XP. The chat does work, but I would like to change it so that it times out after 2 days like in 3.9 or change the amount of posts before it starts deleting them, ~20 is too few IMHO.

Could you point me in the right direction for changing this option? or where to look at the files.

Thanks.

Sure, all the logic is in ChatService.java

Sindre something is going on with 4.01 where the servlet is dying within tomcat and I have to restart tomcat to get the server back up and running. Tomcat process is still running strong but the subsonic servlet is dead and non responsive. Here's an error within the tomcat log I'm seeing:
May 23, 2010 2:48:27 PM org.apache.tomcat.util.threads.ThreadPool logFull
SEVERE: All threads (150) are currently busy, waiting. Increase maxThreads (150) or check the servlet status

This has happened twice and it's staying up an avg of 2 to 3 days only whereas before it would be up for months. The subsonic log isn't showing anything what other log would be effective for what is happening? This is still happening where it'll be up for a day or two and then the server just quit responding yet tomcat processes are still alive and active so therefore something in the java has to be dying. Can't really find anything in the logs other than the max threads above.

Chat still not working

I'll fix that in the next release, but I'm currently busy working on the Android client.

Hi there, and thanks for a great streamer, been using it for several years.
My friends is using it too =)

After the last release, I miss the info-bar that contains Total songs, Total size of the server etc.

Removed, or just in settings? ( where? )

Again, nice working on the server Sindre!
