Just released 4.3 with some video-related bugfixes.
Have a great day!

This release has apparently fixed the "multiple of 2 problem" however I now have another problem which I'm not sure is new to this release. WhenI play a video with the speed set at 500Kbps it is somewhat pixelated so I increase the streaming speed to 1000kbps...still blotchy. So I increase to 1200kbps (or 1500 or 2000) and now I get the same message I got before this release..."Video not found or access denied".

Is there an error message from ffmpeg in the Subsonic log?

Hm, I thought I fixed that in 4.3. Can you please double-check that you're running version 4.3 and not 4.3.beta1?
Thank you,

Thank you. I've found and fixed the problem (which was caused by the combination of the original width and pixel aspect rate being an odd number; a case that wasn't supported).
As a work-around you can upgrade your ffmpeg to 0.6 or later.
Thanks again for reporting it!

I upgraded to the SVN version of ffmpeg and the problem is gone. However, I notice that the play progress bar now has NaN:NaN on the right (where the length would be). Is this a problem with the ffmpeg version or something else? Probably unrelated, but when I did the make I had to use --disable-yasm to get the configure to work.

Is the drop-down box with all the time offsets populated (beneath the video screen)? Could you post the log of the ffmpeg command?
Thanks

Yes, the Time pulldown is populated.
Here is part of the log. Please let me know if you need more.

Isn't there more output from ffmpeg? In particular a line telling the duration etc about the input file?

Thanks, that looks fine. Can you now please start the video in the browser, and view the html source. Look for two lines looking like this:
- Code: Select all
var timeOffset = 0;
and
- Code: Select all
duration:6542 - timeOffset,
