Hello,

I am so very impressed with Subsonic. Thank you for letting me enjoy my music collection again. Great job! :)

I have built a Subsonic client for the chumby line of devices. It is a AS2 based "widget". You can see it in action on the Insignia Infocast 8 (also runs on the Sony DASH, Infocast 3.5, Chumby 8, Chumby One and Chumby Classic line).

The final name will be Subsonic Chumby. I plan on adding many updates to get a full Subsonic feature set, as well as a more icon based UI. Thanks again for a great music server. I hope that this client adds to the success of Subsonic. :D

That's excellent - Good job!

I'll add the crossdomain.xml in Subsonic 4.5 so that users don't have to mess with that themselves, ok?

Right now I'm on a ship in the North Sea and don't have the bandwidth to see the video, unfortunately. Once Subsonic 4.5 is released and you are ready for it, I suggest we write about your app on http://subsonic.org/pages/apps.jsp, so if you could send some screenshots/photos and a few lines of text, that would be so great :-)

Thanks and keep it up,
Sindre

@develephant U made progress? Is there a beta or something to test?

PS: I would buy a Sony Dash just for this :P

I attempted to use this app on my Insignia Infocast 8, but when I tried to open it, it just gives a message telling me that the Subsonic server could not be found. That's to be expected, since I had not yet told it where my server is, but I can't figure out how to get to any interface where I can adjust that information. I can see that this screen does (or at least should) exist from develephant's screen shots, but I can't get to it.

Hi,

To develephant

I read but seldom comment in fora but I have to say that your app for the Chumby is nothing short of superb, bearing in mind it's a work in progress.

Your app plus Chumby plus Subsonic is an unmatched combination. Keep up the good work.

Regards from Scotland.

Sweet. Will try this at home. This is awesome considering my chumby doesn't support playing music through smb. (well doesn't work well)

You need to set the settings up from the chumby/insignia channels page.

I tried this on my Sony Dash Model HID-C70 keep getting a message that it cannot connect to the server. Which is odd, since the Android app works just fine.
