Hi Sindre. I really like the new client, but I am getting FCs on my phone:

Android 2.3.4
HTC Glacier (MyTouch 4G)
Royal Ginger 2.1 Rom ("stock' Royal Ginger kernel)
App not on SD Card

The FCs seem to be returning from the EQ back to the playing screen but it is intermittent - I will experiment more.

I am using this applicaiton on a motorola xoom tablet. I do not see the option for the EQ or visualization. Does your statement of 2.3 or greater also cover those of us that are on running OS version 3.1?

By the way I am not getting the FC probably because I can't see the EQ or Visualization.

That is very interesting. Getting the log when this happens would show exactly why it crashes. (You can use the "alogcat" app to get the log).

There are two new buttons (EQ and VIS) to the right of the album art in the "now playing" screen. If they are not there, could you please look for clues in the log. (Search for "equalizer" or "visualizer"). Try killing the app completely (in Settings > Applications) first.

Getting the same behaviour. Subsonic force closes when getting into the EQ screen and then backing out to the "Now Playing" Screen.

I am not sure how to view the logs on my android device. At this point I dont see any issues on the server. What I do notice is that when rotate the device the screen will adjust and when I am looking at the 10.1 inch screen in portrait mode I can see VIS option. The EQ option is still unavailable. Honestly I would rather have the EQ than the VIS if possible. It seems like the larger screen does not show everything as it should. I installed the app on my wifes evo 4g and no issues there it works perfectly and looks ok but that is a 4.3 inch screen. Any thoughts? By the way this is the best app and server ever. Worth every penny of my donation.

Thanks for the continuous improvements to the Android app - I have started using Subsonic for last 2 months and this has become the most used app on my smartphone.

I am currently testing this beta on HTC EVO (running gingerbread 2.3.3.) and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Will report how it works in few days time.

By the way, we could really use a different interface for honeycomb tablets - with added screen estate. The phone GUI works but it looks out of place in many cases.

I'm getting Force Closes on my Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S) running 2.2 whenever I go to the Now Playing screen.

Oops, that's a bummer... Please upgrade to 3.0.beta2 - it should work on Android 2.2 and earlier.

Updated to 3.0 beta2 on both the Desire and Xoom.

On the Desire it still force closes when backing out of the EQ screen.
On the other hand on the xoom it doesn't. :S

Also on the xoom, while on landscape mode, only the EQ button is visible.
On portrait mode both EQ and VS are visible (and working).

If you need any screenshots of the xoom, I'll gladly provide them.

Other than that, everything is working as it should.

The VIS button isn't included in landscape mode (to save some space), so that is as expected.

I really would like to get to the bottom of why it crashes when exiting the equalizer. Not sure why there was no stack trace in your log, maybe it's disabled for signed apps? When it crashes, do you get a dialog where you can report the error? If so, can you please do so. If not, I can make a special version for you with some extra logging.

Nop, only the force close button appears.

I even uninstalled and purged the settings but still the same behaviour.

One more logcat (in html) if it will help solve things.
