reindexing server from android app??

Postby ace518 » Thu Apr 07, 2011 6:29 am

before i ask for this in the feature request, or try to build a button into the app for my own copy(Love open source stuff), is there a way to force a refresh of the index from the android app. I know i can refresh the folders the android app sees, but I mean, to force the server to reindex its contents. If i add a log into my file server remotely and move folders around, add music to a folder, i'd like to be able to get to it without having to use the web interface. Unfortunately at work, I can't get to the web interface, and am stuck with just the android app. Thank you.

I do not believe it is currently possible, as there is no "reindex" command exposed in the programming API.

See:

...for what is possible to do from a remote client.

Why not just reindex after you make the changes you've just described?
