Bridged IPs and automatic portforwarding

I ran into an odd problem with subsonic that I was luckily able to clear up without too much hassle. In case anyone else has the same issue, here is what happened.

I had recently gotten a Cablecard tuner and a firmware upgrade had let me bridge it with my ethernet card in order to share tuners on my network. This changed the IP address of the ethernet card but also left subsonic trying to forward the wrong IP (the tuner card's I think). The workaround for now is to manually forward the ports in the router.
