Apple Time Capsule

Postby dlyons0916 » Wed Mar 09, 2011 1:49 pm

How do I access the media files on my Apple Time Capsule (Wireless Router/Harddrive)?

All my music and movies are located on that device. However, I'm uncertain how to direct Subsonic to those files...Please help.

I am unsure as I don't have time capsule, but I would think you could use any supported filesharing protocol and the UNC path.

ie. in Subsonic put the Music folder path as:

smb://[YourShare]

or

/[yourUNCpath]

Has anybody gotten this to work yet? I'm in the same boat and trying hogfan's suggestion did not work for me. Thanks!

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, Image but some abuse the privilege!

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

If I am interpreting the article correctly, the steps outlined in the article would suffice for running Subsonic in a Windows environment. However, I am using OSX 10.6.8. Is it still possible then to access the disk in the Time Capsule? It was already set up previously for file sharing since I don't store the music files on my MBP. Thanks!
