Maximum mobile bitrate used while playing from wifi

Postby rdy2go » Fri Nov 25, 2011 10:23 am

My android tablet is in the same wireless lan as my PC which is Subsonic server (latest beta).

Maximum bitrate for transcoding is set as 128 kbps for mobile and 320 kbps for wifi in Subsonic client (on my android tablet).

However...
When I play my music (flac -> mp3) it's encoded as 128 kbps instead of 320 kbps!

It looks like my android tablet or subsonic server uses "mobile maximum bitrate" instead of "wifi maximum bitrate".

Changing "mobile maximum bitrate" to 320 kbps helped in my case, but I'd like to have two different bitrates - one for wifi, one for 3G access to my music library from the internet.

WHY? How to fix this? How to make my android tablet appear as "local wifi" device?
