Mapping drives in subsonic

Postby bergeend » Wed Nov 12, 2008 6:48 am

Hi,

I've installed subsonic on my Ubuntu server and it works flawless. But I don't want to move all my mp3's to the ubuntu server.

I have al my MP3's on a network share, but subsonic can't work with it. It keeps on reporting "No music folders found". What ever mapping I make. Even mappings to my (windowsdomain) network aren't processed. BTW. the maps are open to everyone. so no requests for passwords etc.

(Installing subsonic on my windows servers is not a possibility.)

Please advise on how to make the folders on my network visible in subsonic.

With regards,

Bas Auer

I've successfully set up Subsonic on my Fedora Core 6 with all my media on a separate windows xp machine. I just mounted the windows drive through Samba and it worked just fine. It is important to make sure that the tomcat user has sufficient privileges to read the mounted drive though.

How are you trying to access the network share?
Currently without Subsonic due to hardware failure :(
