Streaming to external player on Android?

I have Rockplayer on my Android device, it can play MKV files and can play streaming video.


I want to utilize this so I can stream my MKV files without transcoding to flash as subsonic is running on a machine with out the cpu power to do smooth playback.




How can I open the subsonic stream in another application on Android? Is it possible or should this go in the request section?

I'd also like to know if this is possible. My Galaxy S2 (AT&T SGH-I777) can play 720p MKVs natively. I'd like to use Dice Player to play these files natively as the FLV encode works, but doesn't look as good. I think I have the bandwidth at home to accommodate this. Thanks!
