Sudden loss of cover art

Postby lars mars » Fri Apr 06, 2012 1:18 am

hi all,

well, suddenly (since yesterday) it seems that the majority of cover art displays (that is on homepage - random albums, recent added, most played) just vanished!!!! does anybody else had that experience. using ubuntu 11.04 64, with subsonic 4.6. seems odd, in the evening all was fine (it's on a always on server), in the morning just gone - no os-updates, ss-upgrades etc. only thing was a nightly database update.
don't know where to start and look for probs rite now. nothing helpful in the log files.
any ideas, hints, experiences similar and solutions would be highly appreciated!!!!

thx in advance, lars

and btw, another weird issue i have for some time now is the wildly sporadic appearance of the stats section in the right pane above the actual media. sometimes there, suddenly not again (no matter restart service or computer) - out of nowhere back again.... weird, tips or comments are also for this mystery welcome ;)

Check your memory allocation as weird things like this happen when SS starts running low on juice :)
If that seems fine it may be a database problem - check the contents of your subsonic\thumbs directory.
You may need to delete the contents and let SS rebuild the thumbs.

mem allocation should be fine even for my collection (5gb mem for 500.000 files). nothing else is really running on this machine. i just dumped the database, and rebuild - will take a while, i tried that before with no diff. still like recent and most played are fine (from scratch now) and random, recently added, toprated show sip/ nil/ nada....

anyway, thx for ur input, much appreciated.
