Now I can ditch mt-daapd / forked daapd, I much prefer accessing my music through a web browser anyway.
The layout of artists on the side and then albums is the right way to do it, so much easier to find an album and just throw it on while I surf the interweb or do other stuff. No more having to stick with iTunes 10.4 !
Gotta say, going with java was a great thing, I was able to build a dedicated low power box with Centos6.3 DNS and have Subsonic running within an hour with my music duplicating over from my power sucking W28R2 machine. Very happy, all my music works and I'm able to view cover art in an intuitive manner, way better than WMP of iTunes in my opinion. The web interface is very well thought out an functional for my needs.
Thanks for Subsonic.
