Change playlist "on the fly"

Hey,
Can anyone please explain to me / tell me if it's possible to change playlist's order while playing?
(by using the REST API)

What i mean is: if my playlist contains song1, song2, song3 and song4 (in this order), and song1 is currently playing - is there a way to change the order of song3 and song4, without pausing song1 so that after song2 - song4 will be played?
