"Song of praise" for Subsonic

Postby frankie666 » Wed Apr 10, 2013 12:42 pm

Hi guys (girls as well),

My first message was not exactly singing praise to subsonic. Turned out I was not looking at the right spot(s). It could be me, it may have been minor improvement required for Subsonic's UI.

Otherwise, I think its great. I know it may not help anyone solve their issues, it does not identify any problem or bug, but I felt it needed to be said.

I am a software development professional for over 20 years, designed many applications including web applications. I don't think I would have done much better than the developer(s) and designer(s) of Subsonic.

Well done guys. Its a great solutions for those (like myself) that use Linux rather than any other OS, and would like some sort of Spotify application (I know, it is available, but thats not my point. I mean an alternative to Spotify). Subsonic makes it possible to listen to my music anywhere I am, as long as I have internet access, which basically is "anywhere".

Thanks you guys,

Oh, and, ehm... donation is on its way, obviously.

Frank.

Well said Frank, I completely agree. More than any other professional or personal server/client functionality I have run or maintained or managed, Subsonic just works. And works well. It is simple and effective and has improved lives through its simple music-loving experience. Cheers to you Sindre!
Subsonic 5.2.1 on 2009 Apple XServe w/ Yosemite Server 10.10.5; 96GB RAM. Lots of Music - High Rez, native DSD streaming, and otherwise.
