Is it possible to have two subsonic URLs?

Postby jl55378008 » Thu May 30, 2013 5:21 pm

I'd like to have a second URL that forwards to my Subsonic server. Is that a possibility?

If not a second username.subsonic.org, would it be possible to have an outside URL that just forwards to my current one? Something like a permanent TinyURL maybe?

Sure just point the second URL to the same ExternalIPaddress:portnumber that your subsonic server is on. That's all that the redirection service is doing. When you submit myserver.subsonic.org to the interweb DNS routs the request to subsonic.org which then looks up your server name in it's library and matches it to your external ip and port number and forwards the request.

Any direct request or URL pointes to the same address:port# will establish the connection.
