Track not playing in Subsonic Web Interface, Ubuntu Host

Track not playing with Subsonic web interface.

I've located at least 1 mp3 in my library that will not play in the Subsonic web interface but will play with the iSub iPhone app.

I can see the track in the Subsonic web interface. I press play and the track shows as playing but the progress/time bar doesn't increment and I don't get any audio. If I try to skip ahead 30 seconds or so and the player just skips to the next track in my playlist.

Since the file is playable through the iSub app but not from the Web interface could this be an issue with the Java install on my system?

I've experienced this issue from my LAN as well as from the Internet. I tried multiple browsers(Firefox/Safari) and experience the issue with both.

Not sure if this could have something to do with the way the mp3 is encoded or a configuration issue on my system.

I'm running:
Subsonic 4.8 (build 3434)
Server: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_21, Linux (Ubuntu Host)

I don't see any errors in the Subsonic log; the Subsonic log file shows the file as playing.

Anyone else experience this issue? Any suggestions?

It took two steps in order to get this particular mp3 track to play:
1) I upgraded from Subsonic to Madsonic. (Not sure if this was actually neccesary.)
2) I enabled the "SubWiji" transcoding for the Player.

"Subwiji" transcoding runs the command "Audioffmpeg -f mp3 -i %s -ab %bk -v 0 -f mp3 -" on the server.

Step one probably wasn't neccesary. I just thought I would mention it because I am not sure if you have the option to select the active transcodings in the Subsonic UI.
