Watched Media Folder

Hey,

Just this server is awesome. So I use this as my backend for streaming to my iPhone with iSub when I'm on the go. I use this in conjunction with headphones & sabnzbd, which selects the artist (headphones), finds the nzb, then downloads them with Sab, which then places them in my media music folder. kind of like my personal iTunes Since this setup works over 3G (as my home server is actually downloading the nzb file & my phones just passing the links) I would like to have subsonic watch my library folder, so that when theres a change it will rescan the library instead of once a day. This way iSub can see the new music right away & I can stream it whileI'm out and about.

So I ask: is this possible? Modded Subsonic Configs? Scripting? I don't know? Right now, I'm using a workaround, where I've copied the link for the manual server refresh, to a bookmark on my home screen. This works, but I have to keep inputting my password (w/remember me clicked) each time my ip changes, then close the browser & reclick the bookmark for it to take effect. This is not the automated process I wish to have.

So if someone could help, or if this feature could be implemented I'd appreciate it.

BTW I came across this post: http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10127 but his script uses wget & I'm on OSX Lion, which is causing me problems trying to install it. So if someone could translate to a OSX script, this would work too. Look forward to hearing some solutions, thanks.

Bump, but I would like to see a function like this for the exact reason as the OP described. I have a large media folder so doing a re-scan every time I add something is time consumer. Don't know if it's possible with the current way the platform is built.

Anyway, love subsonic.
