Shuffle Play NOT working

I recently loaded version 6.0 (build 830afc) – April 30, 2016. I am playing music directly in the Chrome browser - not through an add-on or external player.

The shuffle play option is not working how I would expect/perhaps not at all.

I open a playlist; Select the shuffle icon so it is highlighted; push play button next to a song in the list and the song plays. I wait for the song to finish, it plays the next song in the list sequentially, not a different "random" song. I click "next" icon ( >| ) and it plays the next song in the list, not a different "random" song.

I even went to the end of the playlist and selected a song 5th from the bottom - it kept sequentially repeating those last few songs.

I did a search here and didn't see anyone else reporting that shuffle is not working so let me know if I am missing something.
