Database Backup and Restore

Postby Cantenna99 » Wed May 18, 2016 12:39 pm

Greetings!

Latest Subsonic running on ubuntu server (w jre-default), running as non-root, max mem 200m, only one user; admin sharing 4 folders and under user settings I have enabled admin access to all shared network directories.

Quite often I am finding one of the four shared directories will just appear to be blank!? the only way to fix it, I have to run another scan which takes a good while...
I thought as a shortcut, I could just back up the /var/subsonic directory after a successful scan and restore whenever this happend, yet despite doing this, the directy still remains empty after a restore..But If I do a scan, directory comes back.

Does anybody know of a solution to this frustrating problem I am having? Is there a database outside of the subsonic directory I should be backing up for this purpose? :?

Odd problem. Is this directory on the same hard drive, or another that may have a sleep mode, etc.? Is this the same directory over and over?

same directory, server is headless ubuntu with fstab cifs entries to router where the drive is actually located. Read and write permission enabled on Music directory

What I don't understand, why cant I back up a database and restore it? Is it located outside of the subsonic directory? The project could really use a snapshot feature for issues like this.

Hmm, It seems to have worked if I remove the subsonic directory, reboot, check that trying to login throws a jetty error, then restore and reboot again.
