Using network drive, questions.

Postby seandex » Mon Dec 26, 2016 8:27 am

Hello :o

I love Subsonic, just started Subsonic, i'm newbie.
I have my network drive linked to Subsonic, most of them are FLAC, by the way it shows all in INDEX page. I'm able to play song without problems.
however, it does not show Cover Art. :( how can I fix this issue? all of my files have Cover Art. it just doesn't show on subsonic.

1 more newbie quesiton..
also if i upload song manually then files goes to "Playing" menu which I expected. but network drive songs (library directory) doesn't move to "Playing" menu. just sits in "Index"
so when I use mobile APP, my server do not have any songs.. unless I make playlist.. is this normal?

Thank you!

Hi, If you have the coverart embedded in your Flac-files Subsonic should read them anyway. At least it does with all the coverart embedded in MP3-files.
You could extract the coverart from your files using MP3Tag (Freeware).
Subsonic never misses when there are image-files in the folder. The name of the imagefile really doesn't matter as long as it is jpg jpeg gif or png-format.

If I can add something I would make sure that you don't have any unusual (non-english) characters in the name of the image. It might cause the problem too sometimes...

I also agree that MP3Tag is very good software for extracting coverarts!
