Subsonic 6 - Navigation by Folder Structure - Where is it?

Hi there, my music library is fully tagged. However, navigation through the library is always done via folder structure, since it is a more appropriate type of organization for me.

With Subsonic 6 I cannot find the folder navigation. Is it removed?

I'm still seeing folder-based nav in the left-side indexes. In my test box now running 6.1 have one folder (my Amazon downloads) that are sorted by what is or isn't yet copied into my subsonic folders. I see that structure clearly with my interim folders like _deployed rock-pop and _to deploy classical exactly like my folder structure. Additionally, "Anderson/Stolt" shows up in the left side and indexes as "Anderson_Stolt", which is how it is in the file system but not the ID3.

I'm curious what specifically you are expecting to be different. (or am I missing some button that turns on ID3 sorting in the main UI? I do have Artist/Album ID3 in my app as an option, but I've never seen it in the main UI).

I dunno if this is what you want, but... go to "Settings -> Personal" and check the option "Show index in left sidebar"

Thank you guys for your posts!

Folder navigation is the absolute and non-replaceable option for me - for good reasons.
+ same structure accessible via SMB/DNLA/any future technique
+ no indexing and no database required via direct access - thus: always up to date
+ 100% robust and 100% application independent
+ media organization via decades and personally fixed preferences which will never change and should presented always the same style
+ tagging still done and 100% valid
+ ...

Example:
I have Artist folders with their albums below as individual folders. I do not want to see any artist in the root folder, since it would be to total visual overkill (31K songs, 6K albums). So, the root folder is divided by decades. Every decade has an additional "misc"-folder with hundreds of individual songs e.g. "1980s-Misc".
It would be a nearly impossible task to realize that structure by tagging only.

To be honest, despite all songs are tagged, I never browse by tag.

Others may not see any advantage by folder navigation. That is ok for me. However, I will never leave that way.

So:
Thank you for your replies. I could find the index setting and subsonic 6.x is now an option again for me. Otherwise I would have left subsonic.
