Playlist maximum size

I have a large music library so I am using Subsonic as a service thru Sonos. I am unable to increase the size of a single playlist past 2,597 songs. Is this due to a maximum size playlist in Subsonic? I can add more songs to the playlist in Sonos, but when saved it crops it to the original 2,597.

For clients there is a maximum size that is, more or less, the maximum size of a URL. I found I had, in SubFire Radio, to limit things to around 900 songs. Now I could work around that by making multiple requests, something I plan to add but just haven't had the time.

but that may be a factor, the technical limits of the API.
