Trouble installing on Win 10?

I had trouble installing 6.1.4 when it came out and 6.1.5 today. It looks like windows Defender cannot successfully scan the subsonic install exe file. After downloading the installer, Defender would not finish the scan and I could not launch the install or delete the file. I waited a few minutes and saw that the CPU was freakishly busy continuously doing something so I launched the resource monitor and could see that msmpeng.exe (part of defender) was consuming a lot of CPU. My host has a little dual core processor so you can really notice it. Anyway, I decided to restart the machine and try to launch the installer as soon as I could. It took a couple of restarts before I got the timing right, but it did work. Subsonic installed and ran Ok but then Defender was again obsessed with the exe install file. I could not delete the install file because it had a lock on it. So I restarted windows again and deleted the file right after reboot, presumably before it started to scan it. After that all is fine, subsonic is running and the CPU is mostly idle. Both the 6.1.4 and 6.1.5 installer had this issue. I don't know if something in Windows changed or something in the install file changed, but something has changed because no previous installs behaved like this. Anyone else having a similar problem?
