Cover Art - Folder with Various Artist

I have my library sorted by folder. I have a couple of "mix" folders with songs from various artist. Subsonic only shows cover art for the first song for all of the songs in the folder. Is there any way around this? All of the songs have embedded artwork.

Kinda sounds like my experience ...
Subsonic on Android - App connects, lists music files, but only shows 1{the same} pic for any song - NOT THE PIC THAT IS EMBEDDED IN THE {ANY} SONG. It doesn't even show the correct "Album Art" {Folder.jpg in folder containing numerous mp3's} anywhere.
The webserver interface does show the correct "Album art" but nowhere does it show the "embedded" Art for each song.

Can anyone please help me get this App & Server to work correctly ???

By default Subsonic relies on the first image file in a folder to be the coverart. So if you have back.jpg and cover.jpg in a folder, subsonic will use back.jpg as coverart.
If there's no image file, Subsonic will use the first embedded image it finds and use that for the complete album, even if other tracks have different coverart.
But when you play the files in Subsonic the correct coverart for each track will show.

Same experience here, although the last poster says that when playing the tracks in Subsonic, the correct embedded cover art for each song is shown. That does not seem to happen for me in the web player or a few of the mobile ios players I've tried. It still shows the embedded art for the first track in the folder.
Does anyone know if this is something that's going to be fixed in future version(s) of subsonic?

There is DEFINITELY something wrong with Subsonic. But the Developer seems to be oblivious to the facts or the users.
When you code these players, you HAVE to tell them which ART to show, so the Dev. HAD to tell the App which pic to choose. PERIOD.
He does not want to change it, NOR does the Dev of MusicBee, which has the same exact problem.
I have posted several times and places the issues I have experienced and NEVER got any response to the issues, nor did any of them get addressed in the past upgrade.

Ok, ok, so a year later, plenty of time to be calm and shit, been charged automatically my "renewal" fee, and STILL NO RESPONSE to my concerns of ANY post here in the forums regarding bugs, NOR any help in trying to figure out any of the issues - so they are CLEARLY bugs - which have neither been acknowledged nor rectified.

IT, the Android App, may find in a search what I am looking for, but, does NOTHING when I click/choose anything from the findings. WTF?

In "Library" mode, IT still does not list the library {contents of the folder with the songs} in one coherent string/list alphabetically from A-Z, IT does still show the list in multiple strings of A-Z ... VERY FUCKING ANNOYING.

And now for the "Album Art" issue. STILL NOT working properly. STILL the very same it was, a fucking YEAR ago. When a song is playing, the EMBEDDED ART of THAT song should be showing. ***HINT to ALL *** The Embedded ART of any song might/can/will BE DIFFERENT from the Album Art of the ALBUM !!!***

Otherwise, this is a fine App, really love it.

This has never been the case for me. The cover art is cached for the folder and that is what I get back, every file I play, no matter whether there is cover art for the folder or not. This is true via the API and it is true in the main UI client.

I do get the embedded cover art of the first track in a folder, should the folder not have its own images...but then that artwork is returned for every other track in that folder.
