scanning but not picking up new files

I'm having this problem myself. On a new Ubuntu 14.04 install, just migrated to it actually. Weird thing is the same collection on a different machine running Ubuntu 14.04 works flawlessly, had this issue once with it for one folder but that was it.

But the new box never picks up new tunes unless I do the 'workaround' which is a total head melt.

Would love if we could find any difference, is it file system related possibly? Only difference between my two setups is one had a FAT32 partition and the new one is btrfs.

But still in love with subsonic overall
