How to stream to local network

Hi there,
this must be easy, but I didnt solve it
What do I want to do?
I like to set up SS on a VM (already running) and stream the Music by Jukebox into the network that it will be readable by other computers (Ubuntu, Win,Android) and I may have the same sound in several rooms.
What I have tried:
Using RTP: Works only if SS user is root (configuration problem) and could only stream to 1 client (Maybe also configuration problem) . And on Ubuntu 12.04 pulseaudion crashs if configured by paprefs. Changing the entries in /etc/pulse/default.pa manually works, but doesnt recognise other clients
Further ideas:
What is the best solution? Can someone give me a hint and configuration tipps?
Thanks
Hans

- Using MPD
Using Icecast
Using Stream2IP
