Weird problem with subsonic on samsung galaxy s iii

I'm a long time subsonic user and supporter and I have this weird issue with my new phone that I never had with my previous phones. What's happening is, if I'm streaming (downloading) the current song that's playing, every few seconds it'll make this really loud "BZZZZZZZZZT" sound like the phone is freezing up or something. I'm assuming this is because it's downloading the song separately from the one being played, and once it reaches a certain point it adds this buffered part of the song to the one that's playing which causes the noise. I've used subsonic on a variety of phones before this and never had this issue (Droid x, Droid bionic, Thunderbolt). This is especially annoying because I listen to a lot of mixes that are an hour long+ and it does this the whole time it's downloading. Any ideas if I can do anything to fix it or if it's just a bug?

Try Dsub from the market. The Subsonic app needs to be updated. I'm using a Dsub variant on my Siii without any problems.

I have the same issue on my S3. The problem is worst with the app from the market. I still get initial buzzes when buffering but the problem is lessened when using one of the apks compiled for ICS. Search the forums for a link.

Ive been suffering from the same problem but I solved it recently.
The answer is the external sd card.
I read several posts about the digital buzz
and found that it is the matter of read/write load of the phone.
I guess that the internal memory that samsung provides is not such a fast one.
So to lessen the burden, put an external sd card in your device
and let SS use the card to cache the data.
You can change the cache directory or folder in SS setting.

My phone is galaxy s2, and I put class6 8gb sd card in it.
Now I dont have any buzz at all.

I just downloaded Dsub and configured it to put the music on the extSdCard (external memory) instead of SdCard (internal memory) and now the app can't start without crashing... great! :)

I might try the default subsonic app with changing the cache directory if that's different than where it saves the songs. I already save the songs onto the external SD card so to the guy above me - that didn't solve my problem.

Edit: I just updated to the latest server app and it seems to be working with Dsub now! No bzzzzzzzzzt on the big files either! Hooray!
