Album Artist Corrupted after upgrading from 4.6 to 4.7

I recently upgraded to 4.7.
It automatically did a full rescan of my media library.
Now if I want to access albums from my iPhone/iPad, all album artists names are corrupted. (see screenshot)
How can I fix this?

Are the artist names (Album Artist) appearing correctly in the SS web browser?

Yes, artists are shown correctly in the web interface. Seems to be a problem with the iPhone app.

Have you refreshed the album view in iSub, by dragging it upwards?

I upgraded from 4.2 or 4.3 I believe to 4.7 and have the same issue with iSub on the iPad. Refreshes don't fix the issue.

Have you checked your "Album Artist" tags by an external program? Subsonic 4.7 started using this tag in a non-standard way. If the tags has bad values in your media files, you might need to fix that.

I am managing my albums with Media Monkey, and album artists tags show up correct there. What do you mean by "4.7 uses album artist tags in a non standard way"?

Be wary with MM regarding the Album Artist tag as the monkey has a rather annoying habit of auto-filing
that tag from the artist tag - which means it's in the DB but not the tag.
You can check using something like mp3tag to make sure the actual tag has got the data
or use "check for un-synchronised tags" in files to edit which will highlight the tags/files that don't match
However if SS 4.7 is showing the right data then the tag is there.

Checked my album artists with mp3tag, they are correct. Obviously there is a flaw with the iSub app on the iPhone.
Downgraded now to 4.6, and all my album artists are back in iSub.
Question is now, is this a bug in iSub or Subsonic?
