Can not stream video to iphone/ipad

Hello,
I have been using Subsonic for about a year and got iSub about 3 months ago. I have only dabbled in music for the most part, but thought I would try video.

I can see all videos in the folders on web and in iSub. Video works fine in web players, but when it comes to iSub all i get is a black loading screen.

I have searched forums for solutions, changed settings, updated ffmpeg, updated java, reencoded some test videos (from avi to mp4), but nothing is working. Because the video keeps loading and not getting a error the log does not help.

I am running a Windows server 2008, trying to stream videos to iPhone 5 and iPad 3. I must have something wrong in my settings. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

While there may be someone here that can help you, these forums are more for the server and the android app. You might have better luck over on the iSub forums. Mostly just because the android app doesn't have video streaming the same way iSub does yet, so you won't be getting people with the same issues for android.

Make sure you have the latest version of iSub (I think it's 3.1.1, just released a few days ago), and check your video bit-rate. Try lowering it a small amount each time until the videos start playing.

I think the issue is server side, also my wifes samsung fascinate cant stream the video either.

I will try lowering the bitrate to see if that helps. (what would you recommend for bitrate to stream)

Default setting on the Madsonic version I am using is 1000 kbps; I would start there, then work up and/or down until you find the most efficient bitrate.

going to 1000kbps did not make it work. What settings should subsonic be set at, 'default'?
