player in use in Jukebox mode

Postby rwdolson » Sun Feb 10, 2013 1:47 pm

Is it possible to choose what player is used on the Subsonic server when playing music through Jukebox mode? Or is it possible to specify a command line invoked when a song is played? The reason I ask is because of a lack of success in getting sound to happen in Jukebox mode while running Subsonic on a Raspberry Pi.

I now have good success with sound in jukebox mode. Turns out I had two problems that are both mentioned in other posts but the dots between them are not connected.

One has to do with specifying the sound card in the Java sound library. Here is a sourceforge wiki entry on that topic http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/s ... le=Players

The second problem is that the user I was running Subsonic as did not have permission to the Audio group. Fixed that up by running 'usermod -a -G audio [id used for subsonic]' This likely doesn't matter if you run Subsonic as root. Yup, all of this is on a Linux box (Raspberry Pi running latest Raspian)

I would still however like to have some control over the command line used when streaming the music in jukebox mode. The default appears to have verbose logging turned on and merrily filling up the subsonic.log file. Can this be turned off or modified?
