base directory on linux (ubuntu)

Hi, This may seem like a silly question... but work with me...

I need to know that base directory that subsonic will be in when looking for files in a playlist. ie: if no directory path was specified in the filename, where would it be looking for the file?

I do a pretty neat trick so iTunes can access my library on an SMB share *and* my linux library is happy to access the iTunes database... Ive created a symbolic ink called so this all works but ill have to create another link in the directory above...
