Multiple folders - sorting & display

Are these bugs or features?
I have 2 folders, ones contains CD rips, the other vinyl rips. Often the same artist has albums in both. When I display an artist where this true, albums are displayed chronologically for the first folder and restarts again for the second folder. Is it possible to change this behaviour so that all albums are truly displayed chronologically?
On another note, also involving multiple folders. If I have an artist that has albums in 2 folders and I access that artist from the list of artists on the left side of the screen, I will see all the albums for that artist (as you would expect). If I click on one of those albums to see it's track detail and then decide to go back to the list of albums by clicking on the artist name, I only see the albums that happen to be in the folder that the previously viewed album was in. To me, this doesn't seem right. I think that all the albums (from both folders) should be displayed.
