I'm currently running tomcat as a windows service, and it works pretty well.

Just wondering if this is the preferred method with Windows, or are there any advantages using Tomcat over the windows only app?

I've been wondering about the same thing!

With the tomcat/war-solution you have the possibility to do a lot of changes to the app yourself, by editing the jsp-files for example.

Do I have the same possibilitys with the windows serviceinstallation?
