FYI, I ended up reverting back to v3 of the player as well. There's a couple of things I can do in 3 that I couldn't find a way to do in 4.

Thanks zeekay, it's working flawlessly (with JW FLV Player 3.17) !

It solved one "bug" I had with the original player : the skipping to the next song of the playlist when resuming after a long pause.
It solved another one that I forgot to mention : the ability to scroll the playlist in the player with the mouse wheel.

But maybe Sindre will have trouble integrating it, if you read what is stated in the licence :

The JW Players are licensed under a Creative Commons license. It allows you to use, modify and redistribute the script for noncommercial purposes. For all other use, buy a commercial license.

You must buy a commercial license if:

1. Your site has any ads (AdSense, display banners, etc.)
2. You want to remove the players' attribution (eliminate the right-click link)
3. You are a corporation (governmental or nonprofit use is free)

"Subsonic is open-source software licensed under a Creative Commons Noncommercial license." Changed license to avoid conflicts with the jw_player license, I'm assuming.

Looking at the TODO list, looks like JW Player is going to be integrated into 3.6! \o/

How to make it so you start up the Google Chrome Incognito either as a homepage or as a button on the desktop? I want to open up the version of Google Chrome, Incognito, because i have heard that the normal version invades your privacy. Any ideas on how to get it so it opens up automatically when opening Google Chrome rather than having to select it every time? Thanks.

Can someone in here tell me how the player in subsonic know's what video to play? I'm attempting to activate captions in my jwplayer and I need a dynamic way to tell it which .srt file to locate.

My idea is to have the video and the caption file in the same directory and use a similar variable that subsonic use's to find the video and use it to locate a .srt file, and play it along with the video. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

PS, I noticed this code in the videoPlayer.jsp file
