First of all, I *LOVE* the similar artists radio feature. For a large library, it's like a Pandora for your own music! Lovely.

My question: Does/Will the ReST API support this feature? I would imagine the mechanics would be similar to the getRandomSongs call..

I know iSub is not in current development, but if the API supported this, it would be the kind of thing I would love to see in a phone client.

The API has similar artists (it is part of the getArtistInfo call results) as well as getSimilarSongs. Both API calls have ID3 and 'traditional' options.

The Web UI has a "start radio" link at the bottom that allows one to do what you are asking for - generate a play queue from the similar artists list. I've been considering building something like that in a future release of SubFire (yeah, not available for IOS except as a Safari browser bookmark), but other things come first.
