Subsonic Forum

Hello,

I just started experiencing this particular issue where either the subsonic or dsub android app cannot stream music. I can log into the server, specify folder or song but when I hit play, the app doesn't stream the music and instead displays Downloading 0B. It also doesn't work from the iOS app or by logging through a browser. I can play music that's on my server through VLC on the PC or Mac but no go otherwise.

The server is a zotac zbox running ubuntu server 14.04 and I am using the latest subsonic 5.2.1

Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Need to look at the server logs and see what error is being thrown.

which one of the logs should I look at please?

Should be something like /var/subsonic/subsonic.log. There are a couple logs I don't remember which you need.

Hello, thank you for the info. I've attached the subsonic log to this email. Not sure I'm seeing anything strange but then again I don't really know.

before I take the drastic step of uninstalling and reinstalling subsonic to see if I can get to the bottom of it, doesn't anyone have a clue? No one has experienced this issue?

There's no error in that log. It finds your Sonos, indexes, and sits idle...no other errors. Your port is being forwarded just fine as I can see your service, so I'd suspect permissions. You can pm me a temp guest login in and I could see if it works for me. Cheers!

alphawave7 you nailed it! I created a new user and it worked. I wonder what corrupted the original user I had set up. Thank you very much!

Did you set a Max Bitrate for the user? That has given me issues in the past.

Actually I had let the Max Bitrate to the default "No Limit". I left it to the default for the new user as well.
