Internet TV/Radio - What is the expected use?

Hey, I was trying to add a list of internet radio stations to Subsonic for them to just play directly through the subsonic player. But it seems that is impossible, as to when I press the play button, instead of playing I actually download the stream file (.m3u). Is this the expected output? What things could I do or what would need to be done to play the music through the subsonic player instead?

While the post that you made in that thread, the problem (or the desire) to play the radio stream directly from Subsonic is not resolved with that Javascript code.

Yeah, there's no other way...the 'expected use' is exactly what I posted in that thread. Why does it matter if it plays through the JW Player in Subsonic or with a nifty little pop-up that streams the radio station just fine? Again, expected and designed behavior is exactly as I have noted.

Some people (like me

) have the sound card in their server directly linked to a DAC and only use the jukebox mode at home.
Selecting a radio stream the same way as a track on the server would make subsonic complete: the only interface necessary to handle all audio at home.
